J color Diamonds

Posted by admin | December 9, 2009 .

If it is your first time here I want to repeat the two first steps I recommend before starting a diamond buying process:
1. Setting a budget
2. Deciding on a 4 C’s priority order
After doing so I want to discuss the J color in diamonds:
If Color isn’t the first C in your 4 C’s priority order you should consider a J color diamond. In my experience a well cut diamond especially a Round cut diamond will look one and even two color grades above its actual color. Personally I have seen amazing J color diamonds and even great looking K color.
I wouldn’t cancel those colors before looking at one if you have the chance, you will be surprised.
One more thing to emphasize, Fluorescence will improve the look of a J color diamond. In higher colors it will make the stone look “foggy/milky” but in J color and K color it will “lighten” the diamond and will make it look better.
