Hello, my name is Dan Greenberg. I want to introduce myself and the reasons for starting this website.

I was born and raised in Israel in a small town near Tel-Aviv. I had a nice childhood, near the big city. When I was 18, like every Israeli guy I joined the army and served three years as a paramedic.

After finished the army I did some traveling to South-America and Asia: long vacations while I could (lol). When I was done with the fun I studied and graduated a degree in communication and managing in an Israeli college.

Immediately after I was done with my degree in 2002 I decided to travel again. I packed my gear and went to USA. I started in New-York and had a few nice months: traveling, going out, the fun staff. After a while I came across my first employer in the diamond business: a small company called BBY Diamonds.

Starting in the diamond business with no previous knowledge wasn’t simple, so the first few months were a learning experience of new language: the diamonds language.

A few months of learning the basics were enough in order to start traveling on the roads (selling diamond of-course). Just to explain, BBY diamonds is a wholesale company, so it meant that I sold diamonds to jewelry stores.

At the beginning I traveled mostly to Maine state area and a few months later I started traveling to the South-East region every few weeks.

After a year traveling to both regions the company owner and I decided that I should focus my sales to the South-East region and therefore I moved to Atlanta where I had lived the rest of the time in the US.

After working two years for BBY I decided to start my own small diamond operation and in order to do that I had joined forces with a diamonds manufacture from Israel.

Basically I kept on doing the same job but with more freedom and flexibility. I enjoyed my job very much; I have been in cities that most Americans have never heard about. I met different people, ate in all sort of places (love Cracker Barrel), and spent many nights in different places.

I believe that my experience of working mainly with jewelers and also with a few friends that were looking for an engagement ring assisted me to understand the difficulties of diamond shopping.

I left the US a little over a year ago. I was home sick and the business became very shaky. Now I live in Israel, enjoying myself very much and working on a few projects and this website is one of them.

To summarize, I have a vast knowledge in diamonds that shouldn’t be wasted. My main aim is to assist diamond shoppers buying diamonds comfortably, calmly and professionally without getting the feeling that they are missing something and of course enjoy the buying experience.
