Makor haformica (Formica Origin) plant covers an area of over 40 acres in Haifa Bay. Today it is hard to believe, but the business began as a small carpentry shop that was established in the lower city of Haifa in the late 1970s.
The foundation of Makor haformica
Makor haformica was founded in 1978 by Yaffa Pisso and Amram Piso, who immigrated from Morocco in the mid-1950s. The carpentry workshop, which was established in the 1970s, dealt mainly with the marketing of Formica plates for the carpentry industry.
The management of The Pisso family- Meir and Yohai
Meir, Yohai and Moshe Pisso, three of the four children of Yaffa and Amram, continued to develop the business to what it is today – a factory that employs hundreds of employees and deals in various fields of activity, including importing, coating and marketing coated and exposed wooden panels. read more about yafa pisso
